Only this year I learned about nanowrimo.org (National Novel Writing Month). It begins November 1 and runs annually, and you have one month to write 50,000 words. The whole premise of the contest is quantity over quality (quality can come later in the editing period). The point is to put yourself to the challenge to write that novel you always talked about.

It sounded pretty interesting to me at first. But when I found out that they don't censor AND they have a category (and even related community forums) for erotic fiction writers, included alongside their other genres, I was stoked!

I just thought I'd put this out there, in case any other would-be erotica writers were wondering where to try their hand at a contest. Sounds like a lot of fun. Its reach is international, and there are many, many groups to be found regionally to help motivate us along the way : )
